"How do shows like the Daily Show find such rich/powerful people to interview and embarrass?"

I think it was Bill Maher that said finding guest for his show is easy.

People that come on his show truely believe that they are not corrupt/wrong/stupid. They believe that they can be the one to make the host look foolish and not the other way around.

He said they make sure the guest know exactly what type of show they are coming on, and the guest still agree because they believe they are infallible.

"Why do small cuts hurt so bad?"

Compare a haircut with sharp and dull scissors. The dull scissors cut through the hair less often and pull your hair more often, causing pain. the sharper scissors are able to cut right through your hairs without causing the trauma of pulling on them so much.

Paper cuts are made with (processed) wood. Literally you are sanding, tearing, and pulling apart your skin and the nerves inside. Paper makes a terrible knife.
This is compared to an intentional cut made with a sharp metal object. A scalpel or shard of glass is able to actually cut the skin and nerves at a much finer level. This causes less trauma by not tearing the nerves apart as much. Torn nerves act like torn electrical cables and cause sparks often as they occasionally touch each other’s torn ends.
Lastly, papercuts are most often on your fingers. You have a much larger concentration of nerves in your fingers compared to your arms or torso.
